Job Description
- Assists students who are in need of academic tutoring
- Provide customer service in person and over the phone.
- Only available to second year and beyond students & must have completed at least 2 math courses at WFU and earned a grade of B or higher in each course.

Welcome! Thank you for your interest in working for the Math & Stats Center this year! Tutors will be hired in phases as needed to support students in MTH and STA classes.
1) Wake Forest undergraduate and graduate students may apply to work for the MSC in various roles: tutor, welcome desk, grader, study session leader, MTH 105L leader.
2) All MSC employees must attend Math & Stats Center tutor training events throughout the semester. Tutors will be notified of training events when they are scheduled.
3) Tutors meet one-on-one with students for 50 minute appointments and are responsible for filling out a post-appointment report. Study session leaders are responsible for checking in students.
4) Priority for Math & Stat Tutor positions will be given to students who:
-Have been recommended and recruited by a faculty member in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.
-Have declared a major or minor offered through the mathematics and statistics department.
-Have completed multiple courses in mathematics and statistics at WFU and are qualified to tutor in multiple MTH and/or STA courses.
-Are available to work at multiple different times each week.
-Have a record of strong performance in all areas of Math & Stats Center tutoring, completing records, responding to emails and attendance at Math & Stats Center training events.
