Lam Museum of Anthropology Summer Student Assistant

Location: LAM Museum of Anthropology ( on WFU campus)

Pay: $11/hr

Days/Time:  Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00am – 4:00pm (30 hrs/wk)

Start Date: Tuesday, May 20 (negotiable)
End Date: Saturday, August 23 (negotiable)
Unpaid vacation time is also negotiable with advanced notice

Job Description:

The Lam Museum of Anthropology will be hiring a student assistant for the summer.  Primary job responsibilities include staffing the Museum front desk and interacting with visitors, assisting with preparations for Museum education programs, working on the Museum’s online database, and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements: Current WFU student of Class of ’25 graduate, ability to work independently, ability to follow written and verbal directions, strong communication skills, basic computer skills. Ability to carry at least 25 lbs., Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Comfortable staffing a public place alone. Interest in anthropology and/or museum work is preferred. This must be your only job on the WFU campus over the summer.
