Job Description
The Student Assistant position within the ISS Center is an outward-facing position that requires daily interaction with international students and scholars at Wake Forest University and ISS staff members. The Student Assistant must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate OR graduate (Masters or PhD) degree program at Wake Forest University and be in good academic standing. Required skills include strong customer service, the ability to work effectively and efficiently, the ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff of diverse backgrounds, extreme attention to detail, professionalism, maturity, responsibility, and patience.
Job Duties
- Assists departments and organizations in providing excellent customer service.
- Assists departments and organizations with marketing and distributing various publicity/promotional items.
- Interest and/or connection to department
- Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Provide customer service in person and over the phone.
- Typical duties include; filing, typing, sorting, collating, maintaining records, light clerical work, running errands, giving information, receiving and routing telephone calls, scheduling appointments, unpacking materials, assist with mail – sort, process, issue, deliver and load/unload, and operating office equipment.
- Year round employment available for local students.
Need Tuesday and Thursday morning 8:30am-Noon, availability for Spring 2026 semester
