Job Description
- Assists departments and organizations in providing excellent customer service.
- Assume responsibility for safety of patrons and enforce rules and regulations.
- Work in a variety of recreation/athletic settings both indoor and outdoor facilities.

Additional Information from Department
Essential Functions
- Assisting the office of Athletic Event and Facility Operations with all game day operations activities:
- Pre-game Responsibilities:
- Set up field of play
- Set up stadium/concourse
- Set up press box or other areas for necessary personnel; such as marketing, media relations, etc.
- Post necessary informational sheets: timing sheets, field diagrams, locker room assignments, teams’ logos, scripts, etc.
- Set up parking lot to accommodate fans, referees, and visiting teams buses
- Meeting and hosting officials
- Meeting and hosting visiting teams
- Meeting and organizing necessary in-game support staff; ball boys or girls, public announcer, scoreboard operator, parking crew, official scorers, etc.
- In-game Responsibilities:
- Crowd control
- Troubleshooting
- Making sure the field of play stays in good condition
- Escorting and protecting visiting team, home team, and officials,
- Other sport specific tasks as assigned
- Post-game Responsibilities:
- Breaking down field, concourse and locker rooms
- Cleaning and locking the visiting team and officials locker rooms
- Preparing venue for practice the next day
- Pre-game Responsibilities:
- Help with upkeep and maintenance of facilities:
- Ensuring facilities are prepared for game day activities
- Assisting other departments with their needs involving the facilities
- Upkeep of facilities is not limited to field or court of play; but includes:
- Goals, nets, press box, restrooms, litter, and debris clean up, electronics and speakers, lights, and anything else that is sport specific
Qualifications
Education, Experience and Training:
Must be a degree seeking student at Wake Forest University.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Ability to communicate with various constituents; general public; students; coaches; administrators.
- Strong work ethic.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Customer service oriented
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
